"The
things I liked are that I learned some geometry for high school and I
think it will help me in the future. The other good thing I liked about
this is that I got to meet new people that helped me on stuff.
I¡¯ve
learned new lessons of algebra and geometry, and I liked how Ms. Wong
was able to help me. The teachers here are kind, generous, and giving.
I
learned trigonometry and dozens of new vocabulary words. I¡¯ve learned a
lot that will be useful in the school year, such as writing a better
essay and digging into deep details when solving word problems."

learned a lot. It helped raise my [practice] SAT score by 530 points. I
learned vocabulary words that will be on the SAT, and how to write
good, detailed essays. Also, we reviewed math topics I learned from
school."

friendly, knowledgeable in their area, and very understanding. They
provide tutoring/homework help during Mondays and Wednesdays. There is
also homework review in class.
I¡¯ve learned SAT test taking skills. It will help when I take the actual thing."

are very informative. They provide us with good techniques for the SAT.
They go over every problem step by step. They give us plenty of
homework that we can practice on. I was able to make new friends. I¡¯m
fully aware of what will be on the SAT and what to expect.

say that coming to Monica Learning Center has improved both the level
of my vocabulary and math skills that are necessary for the upcoming
school year."

"My experience in English class is
good. I have written a lot of poems and wrote an essay that
I am satisfied with. The book of Anne Frank; I never read
a book that interesting before. I have learned a lot in this
class and I am going to use this experience later an in life,
and the teachers are awesome. My experience in Math class
has been good also. The teachers are great, funny too. I also
learned a lot in this class. The teachers here are great and
helpful."

"In English class I¡¯ve learned a lot about poems and
how to write stories. There were a lot of experience and I¡¯ve
began to read better and to learn more. The challenges were
to keep up reading because I¡¯ve never read an hour a day before.
In math class I think I¡¯ve learned the most. I learned about
many things about algebraic equations and how to set up equations.
It was not a boring time like most schools. I¡¯ve also learned
a lot in geometry, even though I wasn¡¯t good at it, it was
a nice jump start to see what will come in Geometry in school
Monica Learning Center itself is pretty chaotic though."

"I first transferred from the Monica Center at mission.
I like it here getter though because I made new friends. Well,
the teacher has been a very good teacher. I felt welcome when
I came here. I learned many things since I came here. We read
the whole book of Anne Frank. Did a lot of grammar and poetry,
I had fun here.
For math class, I had a lot of fun learning math. He was
a nice person. I learned a lot of geometry and algebra.
I learned a lot of new things here and I¡¯m glad I came here.
It was fun being in Monica Learning Center and I hope I
come back next year."
